I would cross the rail road tracks and go through a hole in the fence to get to northland. That hole in the fence was never closed for some reason. I first started using it in the mid 70's it was still there in 2000 when i left jennings. Unfortunatley jennings has turned into a ghetto, building new stores is a waste. I used to live on dever. It made me reminisent of years gone by. I too recently turned 40, and spent many a days walking to Northland and River Roads, and I remember walking that same path you were describing. Ah yes, and all those ortho visits at the medical building! My family did enjoy going to Northland, we prefered to shop at River Roads, it was a little bit closer of a walk for us, plus there were more hills to climb when we walked to Northland.<br/>Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading your blog!<br/>THANKS!!
