I am so in love with this house. My husband and I drove by it the other night and I had a daydream that the owner would be outside, we'd chat him up and he'd invite us inside. LOL

Didn't happen but a nice dream. It's an amazing house. Hope he offers a house tour some day.

What a joy to find this! This was built by the husband of my relative, Ermale Jennings Wade (1905-1995) who was married to Harry Brinkop (1891-1949). I had no idea that they lived in so fabulous and unique a house. You once published photos of my Uncle Ralph's pharmacy in Overland, and so here is another relationship tie. Ermale was the granddaughter of Phebe Davenport Summers. Ralph was a Great Grandson, and I am a Great Great Granddaughter. Makes a "girl" proud..of this house, and of YOU for helping to rescue it.
What a treasure! THANKS! Cerelle

I remember seeing the original blog and thinking "Wow! This is the coolest house ever!" I would occasionally check back just to see the pics. When the post disappeared, I started to get really worried. I saw the realtor listing and thought "But if nobody sees the awesome blog pictures, how will anyone ever know how fabulous this house is???" Then one day I was feeling nostalgic and checked back, hoping the blog post was back. Imagine my glee when I saw it had been purchased and loved! My mother and I had joked about buying it and selling the adjacent land - it would pay for itself! But, alas, more pipe dreams. Thank you for the update (as late as this comment is, I saw the post shortly after you posted it). I hope you can get into the place with the new owner and keep us all up to date on the progress!

This is the coolest house I've ever seen. Ever! Beauty, innovation, ingenuity and just the right dash of quirkiness. I often check back just to see pictures of it. I hope you can keep us up to date on what the new owner has been doing with it. I can't wait to see it all shiny and loved. It warms my heart that it was saved from the wrecking ball. Thank you for telling its story.

Cabinets and countertops offer the much-needed storage space in the bathroom to store your toiletries, keep medicines and first-aid box, cleaning milk, moisturizer and deodorants, towels and napkins besides other things that you use daily while showering in your bath. They are powerful accents to your bath décor and help you to define the tone and style of the bathroom wall cabinets and make the best use of the wall and floor surface of the area. http://bathroom-wall-cabinets.blogspot.com .

I am so glad that this house was saved! It really is beautiful...The pictures actually don't do it justice. When you are standing right there in front of it, you are just in AWE! I guess you know that the doctor that had it, was featured in the news last year for getting an elderly woman to change her will a month or so before she died, leaving him everything. It is still playing out in the court system right now.

Thank god, this house will live on! I just hope the new owner appreciates it and doesn't change it too much.
