We go by that church every week looking for the lights on the roof. Any ideas why they don’t turn them on anymore?

Fond memories of seeing this church lit up around the holidays with red and green lights as I would drive back with my dad after ice skating nearby.

I drive by this church everyday on my way home from work and was wondering why they hadn’t painted the roof in years. Now it makes sense. I always loved how they painted it blue first before painting it white – thanks for the obvious explaination (construction) as to why the roof has looked so worn lately.

Ha. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who thought of the Air Force Academy Chapel when he saw this post. Great building.

I lived up in that area from 1968 to 1972 or thereabouts.

I always knew I was home when the church hove into sight.

I was told that the Air Force Academy chapel has the same kind of roof. Terribly architectural and by dint of its folds, very strong.

But I never saw the interior. Hats off to you for that truly stunning photo of the altar and the organ. Many, many thanks. Next time’s I’m in St. Louis, I will be certain to stop by the place.
